Time Well Spent for “Time is Money” Clockwork, Inc. ® Celebrity Apprentice® Sweepstakes Winners

OMAHA, Neb. (Jan. 24, 2011) Mr. Jeremy Hanson of Devils Lake, N.D., has been announced as the $100,000 Grand Prize winner and Mr. Eddie Dick of Fyffe, Ala., has been announced as the First Prize winner of the Trump “Time is Money” Celebrity Apprentice Sweepstakes, proudly sponsored by Clockwork, Inc., in conjunction with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning®, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® and Mister Sparky Electrical Services®.  The six-month Sweepstakes promotion consisted of six (6) monthly and twenty-six (26) weekly drawings, and one Grand Prize drawing and a First Prize drawing.  The Sweepstakes promotion was open to all legal U.S. residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia.

Grand Prize winner Mr. Jeremy Hanson entered the Sweepstakes online in May and recently received the good news via phone while at home.  On the other end of the line was a representative from One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning telling him that he may be a winner, but it hadn’t been officially confirmed. A week later he received another call with a message telling him to check his e-mail.  He was then given the official news that he had won the Grand Prize of $100,000.

“I was almost in tears, ecstatic, a very humbling experience.  To win something of this magnitude, and be selected as the Grand Prize winner, it’s a dream come true,” said Hanson.

Hanson and his wife, Wendy, plan on buying a house and taking a honeymoon to Las Vegas – a trip they have never been able to take.  He recollected that the only thing he ever won was a bicycle at the age of 12.  Hanson may even invest in some much-needed ice-fishing equipment and take some time to enjoy his favorite pastime through the ice.

First Prize winner Eddie Dick of Fyffe, Ala., won a trip to one of three select destinations (New York, Las Vegas or Canouan Island Resort).  Mr. Dick entered the Sweepstakes online after viewing the Clockwork, Inc. Celebrity Apprentice episode, which aired in May 2010.  Although he hasn’t completely decided, he is fairly sure Las Vegas will be his destination of choice.

“I entered several times a day, and it’s the first thing I’ve ever won.  I’ll probably take my daughter with me,” said Dick.

OMAHA, Neb. (Aug. 25, 2010) – Don’t expect your grandma’s old-fashioned meatloaf!  Six of Omaha’s top chefs will create their own twist on the classic dish during the fourth annual Comfort Food Classic.  Crave the date—the cooking competition benefiting Ted E. Bear Hollow is scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Central (72^nd & Grover).

During the event, chefs representing six fabulous Omaha-area restaurants will prepare their interpretations of a classic comfort food, and those attending will vote to determine which chef's dish is the most delicious. This year's selected entrée is meatloaf.  Besides tasting and voting for their favorite recipe, attendees can enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts, win raffle prizes, and place bids on great items in the oral and silent auctions. Also included in the festivities is the BIG splash Family Swim & Splash Party, which takes place the same day from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rockbrook Pool, 10800 W. Center Rd. Participants are invited to enjoy food, refreshments and water-related fun for family members of all ages and abilities. Gourley created the designs while a student at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Shortly after her graduation in May 2009 she accepted an internship with SKAR and was hired as a full-time art director in August 2009.

It also marks the 24th ride Al and daughter Shannon have shared together as a father-daughter team aboard a tandem bicycle. Al Roeder is a retired school teacher affectionately named the "BRAN MAN" and is the only person to have participated in every ride since its inception in 1981. Shannon Roeder also teaches in Omaha.

When asked why he rides in BRAN, Roeder said, "It's a combination of things: the scenery, the exercise,the challenge, the host communities, and the ultimate benefit of helping create scholarships for Nebraska kids. It's also the quality time I get to spend with my daughter and the friends we've made through the years."

Roeder added that Shannon joined him on the ride when she turned 9 and they've been riding together ever since. BRAN remains and will continue to be a big part of their lives. "I intend to participate in BRAN until I'm physically unable to complete the ride. Maybe we'll be talking about my 60th ride thirty years from now," added Roeder.

BRAN 30, "Space Cowboy Tour" is a community service project sponsored by the Rotary Club of Omaha Northwest with assistance from the Omaha Pedalers Bicycle Club. For 30 years, proceeds from BRAN riders have provided scholarships to high school graduates who wish to attend Nebraska colleges. The ride begins June 6 in Harrison and ends June 12 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland, the home of astronaut Clayton Anderson. The ride will cover 481 miles in seven days.

BRAN 30, "Space Cowboy Tour" routes cyclists through the unique beauty of the Nebraska Sandhills region. Proceeds from the ride are used to fund $28,000 annually in scholarships for Nebraska high school graduates to attend post-secondary schools in Nebraska. Since its inception in 1981, BRAN has awarded more than $347,000 in scholarships to students. Host communities for BRAN 30 are Harrision, Alliance, Hyannis, Thedford, Burwell, Albion and David City. The "Best Host Community," as selected by the riders, will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a student from that community. BRAN requests that broadcast media offering traffic reports advise listeners of increased bicycle traffic in hosting communities along the route. Rider age range is 9 to 80 years and older; 55 percent of riders are 50 years and older; 7 percent of riders are 19 years and younger; 74 percent of riders are 40 years and older and 33 percent of riders are first-year riders, 16 percent are 60 years or older.

SKAR Advertising of Omaha announces the addition of Theresa Dowling to its agency staff as a media buyer and Bryan Gottula as a copywriter.

Dowling previously served as a media buyer for West Corporation in Omaha. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Dowling has been involved with professional organizations including the American Advertising Federation Omaha, Public Relations Student Society of America and has assisted with public service campaigns for Youth Emergency Services.

Gottula also is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising with a concentration in consumer behaviors. He is actively involved with the American Advertising Federation Omaha. Gottula recently accepted the full-time copywriter position after a brief internship with the agency.

SKAR Advertising is proud to announce that Greg Ahrens, one of the firm's partners and co-creative directors, has won the 2010 American Advertising Federation Omaha's (AAF Omaha) Ad Pro of the Year award. It is the third time a SKAR employee has received the honor.The Ad Pro of the Year award is given to an AAF Omaha member who has a distinguished track record of service in advertising including professional and community service, with particular attention to AAF Omaha service.

Ahrens has been involved in AAF Omaha (formerly Omaha Federation of Advertising) for more than 10 years and has served as OFA president and chairman of the board in recent years. He also has chaired several public service campaigns on behalf of AAF Omaha.  Ahrens has more than 20 years of advertising experience and has worked for SKAR Advertising for 15 years.

Ahrens was presented the award on Tuesday, February 9th, at a luncheon during AAF Omaha's Meet the Pros, an advertising networking event for area college students.
