That’s easy. I develop software for data mining, digital marketing, eCommerce, iPhone apps, interactive games, digital enterprise solutions and more. In other words, I help people do amazing things and solve the hard problems with technology.

What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Coming up with elegant solutions to interesting or complex problems.

What is your all-time favorite app?
I would have to say Firebug (www.getfirebug.com), a plugin for Firefox that is absolutely essential to any Web developer.

Besides your profession, name something unusual about yourself.
I’ve just begun looking for a house, and I decided long ago that one room will be the “1940s room,” decked out with period furniture, décor and artifacts.

Bowl of cereal or Grand Slam breakfast? Explain.
Grand Slam breakfast. It’s a far more diverse and thus stimulating experience. It’s like a tiny Thanksgiving feast except in breakfast form.

What in the world does your girlfriend see in you?
Well, she’s very artistic and I’m very scientific so I guess we just balance each other out well.

You get one free ride in a time machine. What do you go back and change?
I go back about 50 million years, find a butterfly in Brazil that’s flapping its wings, and give it a little nudge to the left.

What was your favorite toy as a kid?
Lego blocks. You imagine, you plan, you work hard, you stand back and say, “I made this.” And then you get to do it again.
